Upgrades on Kruger Park’s Skukuza Golf Club nearly complete

Posted on 7 December 2022 By Olerato Ramafsi

Skukuza Golf Club in the Kruger National Park recently announced that it is on the final stretch of its upgrades and renovations. The Golf Club, which is affectionately known as the “wildest golf course in the world” thanks to the wildlife that visits regularly, was initially built in 1972 as a recreational facility for the Skukuza personnel.

Throughout the years, the majestic 9-hole course became available to visitors of the Kruger National Park.

Situated on the outskirts of the Skukuza Rest Camp, the course is home to the Big Five, a huge variety of birds and countless other wildlife that gives players a close-to-nature golfing experience.

The upgrades include a refurbished clubhouse, upgraded changing rooms, a pro shop, and a 30-golf cart capacity garage.

More upgrades are underway including the restaurant and overall aesthetics of the course which, according to reports, should be completed right in time for the festive season.
