We came across this video of the Pilchard Run on YouTube and we’re not sure what to make of it …
Here’s what the poster says:
‘I filmed the annual sardine run off the Natal South Coast in South Africa this year and was literally in awe of what I was lucky enough to film while sharks were attacking the bait-balls. The feeding is generally dramatic enough on its own…but I have NEVER seen anything this bizarre and am at a loss! It looks as if two separate schools of fish have broken away from the main group to intimidate a shark? I’m just grateful to have caught it on video. If anyone has seen this kind of behaviour before… and can shed some light… please leave comments below or on Twitter: #SharkChase’
