Cooper Tyres South Africa have launched a new multi-terrain tyre to get you to your next destination – the Cooper Zeon LTZ.
The new tyre is a 19-inch wheel designed for 4X4s and SUVs that’s rugged enough to cope with challenging road conditions in Southern Africa.
Jenny Soons, Marketing Director of Cooper Tyres South Africa states that “the Cooper Zeon LTZ has been proven in both America and Australia, and we put the tyres to the test by fitting the 19” Zeon LTZ to Kingsley Holgate’s Landrover Discovery 4.”
Ever the intrepid explorer and traveller, Kingsley used the Cooper tyres to complete a 90 day, 3 country expedition to track, research and document the Lubombo Mountain Range from northern Kruger National Park to the Ghost Mountain in Mkuze, Northern KwaZulu Natal.
“The expedition is all about rhino protection,” says Kingsley, “we have to stop the killing of our rhinos – we all have to do our bit.”
Kingsley gave his affirmation to the new tyres saying “We put the Cooper LTZ tyres through their paces from sand, mud, gravel and tar and they are more than adequate for this environment. They are, by far, the best tyres we have had fitted to the Disco 4 to date.”
The feedback is clearly positive for the hybrid 4X4/SUV tyre, which is a combination of lateral grooves and functionally patterned tread elements. The optimized pitch sequence helps provide even tread wear and low tread related noise. The scalloped shoulder lugs provide traction off road particularly in soft surfaces like mud and sand.
In simple tyre talk, this all equates to great multi terrain performance.
Manufactured in America the Cooper LTZ follows the Cooper Tire Company’s aftermarket tyre building strategy of developing strong, high mileage 4×4 and SUV tyres and is the ninth largest tyre manufacturer in the world.
Cooper tyres are available at over 100 dealers in Southern Africa.
