Chad Morris, a Kentucky resident encountered three black bear cubs in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Morris also spotted the mother only a few meters away.
Before leaving home, Morris had told his friends that he wanted to see a bear on his trip, according to Travel and Leisure.
His parents spotted the bears first and shouted for him to come outside. ‘He rushed outside their cabin to see what all the commotion was about,’ said a report by MSN. With two bears in the car and one on the outside, Morris kept his distance from the animals and took photos before they moved on after about five minutes of play.
Morris said that one of the bears managed to take a ‘chunk out of the seat’ but that no one was injured.
Bear sightings in Gatlinburg, by Great Smoky Mountains National Park are extremely common, especially in spring and summer.
