For the last several months, the Lincoln Park Zoo and its supporters have been patiently awaiting the arrival of an Eastern black rhinoceros calf.
After 15 months of pregnancy, on May 19, Kapuki gave birth to a healthy calf, who has yet to be sexed or named.
The birth of the calf is exciting news for the critically endangered population.
