Set right on the famous white beach of Nungwi, on the north-western tip of Zanzibar, is a four-star resort that takes its name from the majestic, century-old baobabs dotted around the property.
The resort opened in December 2018 and offers a variety of choices to guests in its 103 Swahili-style rooms surrounded by tropical gardens, with direct access to the beach.
The restaurant, pool and pool bar are just metres from the turquoise ocean, and the beach is unaffected by Zanzibar’s tidal range so you can swim all day.
Evening shows with local dancers, musicians and acrobats are held in the amphitheatre.
The prize
