On Tuesday 22 October a number of South African Airways (SAA) and Comair flights (operated by British Airways and Kulula) were grounded after the South African Civil Aviation Authority ordered that all aircraft be grounded to undergo compliance verification assessments.
A number of Mango flights were also affected.
Comair announced that its flights will resume as normal today. According to Eye Witness News, Comair has said that the disruptions to its networks have been addressed.

In a news conference yesterday, Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula said that the South African Airways Technical team has drawn up a corrective plan to deal with the maintenance irregularities that resulted in delays and cancellations on Tuesday.

Yesterday’s flight cancellations come after SAA was accused of using fake parts to repair some of its aircraft, an accusation the SAA board insists is untrue.
