Almost 100 years after the roaring ’20s, a luxury train will be offering a not-to-be-missed a train-ride package called ‘The Party,’ and it’s straight out of The Great Gatsby. In fact, all of the train’s 17 carriages are originally from the 1920s.
The decor is plush and each of the carriages will be outfitted in period furnishings and the ride filled with endless entertainment. The train operated by Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will take guests from the Italian countryside (after the opening of a speakeasy party at the Belmond Hotel Cipriani in Venice), on scenic routes through Austria, Switzerland, and France, ultimately ending in London two days later.
‘The party continues as long as you do, so leave your inhibitions on the platform and embrace the atmosphere of a bygone era,’ reads the website. From jazz to sparkling wine, it’s all promised aboard this plush train.
The package is on offer for 27-29 March 2020, and bookings are currently open.
