Euro Disney in France is opening a Frozen-themed land as an extension of the Walt Disney Studios Park. It will be located in a new Arendelle-themed area and is expected to be complete by 2023. Visitors can expect snow-capped mountains, a lake and an ice palace.
According to the Daily Mail, Disney has promised that the land will be ‘fully immersive’ and that there is an ‘attraction that will take guests to the centre of the kingdom.’ There will also be a shop, restaurant and characters from the movie, like Anna and Elsa, that guests can meet.
In a tweet, OutsideEars, the self-proclaimed ‘unofficial media’ for Euro Disney said: ‘Known today as ‘Frozen Land’, this new area will consist of an aquatic attraction, sister of the one under construction in Hong Kong Disneyland, two shops as well as a restaurant and a meeting place with two queens of Arendelle.’
In 2018, Disney announced a two-billion Euro investment in Euro Disney. The money is going toward the development of Marvel and Star Wars attractions.
Euro Disney is situated a 35 minutes train ride outside of Paris and has seen 320-million visitors since the park opened in 1992. The resort accounts for 6.2% of France’s tourism income.
