While the majority of South Africans are enduring the nationwide lockdown, a pack of African wild dogs have taken advantage of the lack of humans to enjoy a day out at the golf course.
Jean Rossouw, a local golf course superintendent, or ‘greens keeper’ as they more commonly known as, uploaded this adorable, yet slightly mischievous video of a pack of wild dogs enjoying the luscious greens at the Skukuza Golf Club in Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga.

In the same twitter thread, Rossouw went on to describe what life has been like at SANParks during the lockdown.
‘This lock down is for our own good, to break the cycle of COVID-19 viral transmission. I have been watering the golf course manually, mowing the greens and tee boxes a few times a week just to keep the grass from getting too thick.
‘These are essential day to day maintenance tasks that need to be done to ensure that the course stays healthy and does not deteriorate, so that it can re-open once the lockdown is over.’
While some South Africans may be struggling to come to grips with the lockdown, it’s a pleasure to see nature embracing the lack of human activity.
