It is inevitable that travel will resume and in a COVID-19 world, travellers will want to be as safe and protected as possible. A newly invented item of personal protective equipment (PPE) might just become the new norm for anyone finding themselves in high-risk situations like airports and planes.
The BioVYZR is a half-body hazmat suit, with a ‘ground-breaking outer layer designed to provide an unmatched degree of protection against airborne hazards in our daily environments,’ according to the website.

Owner and designer Yezin Al-Qaysi said the suit is not intended for travel only and can be used by anyone going into crowded public spaces, as well as those in the medical field.
‘The key here is to open up a conversation about how we’re going to get back to a little bit of normal, get the economy going, get the airlines going again before this damage becomes permanent, and large airlines have to shut down,’ says Al-Qaysi.
The suit features an ‘Anti-Fogging Face Shield with High Optical Clarity’ and a ‘Powered Air Purifying Respirator’ that filters out pathogens, allergens, and pollutants from the air.
It also sports ‘Peripheral Side Windows for Enhanced Visibility’, has reversible gloves so the wearer can safely touch their face and has a USB port that allows you to power the BioVYZR, whether you’re stationary or on the go, using any USB compatible power source.
Buying the suit will set you back USD 250 (about R4,179, excluding shipping from Canada).
