With international travel open, many South Africans are planning to holiday abroad. South Africa’s passport is ranked 52nd on the Henley & Partners Passport Index, and are able to visit 101 countries visa-free, by e-visa or visa on arrival.
The ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which maintains the world’s largest and most accurate database of travel information and enhanced by ongoing research by the Henley & Partners Research Department.
Remember to make sure your intended destination is open to South African passport holders and find out what the travel regulations are. All countries require a negative COVID-19 test not older than 72 hours.
