Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours and hail are expected to hit parts of the Free State, North West, and Northern Cape on Sunday, November 1.
Residents are warned that this might cause localised flooding, property damage, and reduced visibility according to Storm Watch.
Wet roads, pooling, and poor visibility are expected over main roads such as the N3, N1, and N12, which may lead to increased accidents and heavier than normal traffic.

This storm is part of a weather system that made landfall in the Eastern Cape yesterday, October 31. It is making its way north and has received a Yellow 2 impact warning according to Afriwx Southern African Weather, Rainfall and Storm Reports.
“If possible stay indoors and off the roads, avoid crossing rivers and swollen streams where water is above your ankles. If trapped in a vehicle during a flood, abandon it and climb to higher ground. In buildings, move valuables to a safe place above the expected flood level,” said the South African Weather Service.
