President Cyril Ramaphosa announced tonight [November 11] that the international travel restrictions have been lifted, subject to certain circumstances and protocols.
Presenting a negative PCR test on arrival still remains standard procedure.

Details are thin at this stage but the removal of the Red List will hopefully aid the hospitality and tourism industries in garnering the income that is so desperately needed at this stage.

The national state of disaster has been extended by one month.
Other restrictions on economic activity, including those imposed on alcohol sales, have been lifted.
‘Even as restrictions on the sale of alcohol are lifted further, we are mindful that excessive alcohol consumption is a hinderance in our fight against the coronavirus. It is vital that South Africans act responsibly to ensure we do not see a spike in alcohol-related incidents.’
