Airlink has added new frequencies between Johannesburg and Maputo from Thursday, April 1.
4Z270 departs from Johannesburg at 06h15, arrives in Maputo at 07h10, Monday to Friday.
4Z271 departs from Maputo at 07h40, arrives in Johannesburg at 08h50
4Z272 departs from Johannesburg at 13h45, arrives in Maputo at 14h40 daily
4Z273 departs from Maputo at 15h15 and arrives in Johannesburg at 16h25
4Z274 departs from Johannesburg at 17h00, arrives in Maputo at 17h55, Monday to Friday plus Sunday
4Z275 departs from Maputo at 18h25, arrives in Johannesburg at 19h35
Airlink has also added flights to Lubumbashi, DRC, from today, April 1. Flight 4Z021 departs from Johannesburg at 10h10, and will arrive in Lubumbashi at 12h40 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sundays. The return flight 4Z022 will depart from Lubumbashi at 13h 35 and will arrive in Johannesburg at 16h15.
Airlink managing director and CEO, Rodger Foster told Travel News that since launching services linking Johannesburg with Maputo and with Lubumbashi last October and November, they have seen a steady increase in passenger traffic on the two routes. ‘This reflects an uptick in trade and economic activity between South Africa, Mozambique and the DR Congo,’ Foster added.
