The recent cold front streaming up from the south west delivered a heavy blanket of snow across the interior of South Africa and Lesotho on Saturday, 14 August. Snow continues to fall in a variety of places.

Lesotho
Semonkeng Lodge in central Lesotho posted this extraordinary image of their lodge, and have found another way to keep the drinks cool.
And Afriski
a popular ski lodge in northern Lesotho posted this image saying that approximately 5cm has fallen so far. Roads to Afriski are closed to normal vehicles and only vehicles with 4 wheel drive are being allowed through.
