The Western Cape is experiencing another good rainfall year and dams across the province are either nearing or breaching 100% capacity.
The average storage across the province is 81.5% as on 30 August 2021, the City of Cape Town said. Theewaterskloof Dam is currently at an incredible 104.3%.

Other dam levels as at 31 August 2021 are as follows:
Berg River 102.2%
Steenbras Lower 100.5%
Steenbras Upper 92.4%
Voëlvlei 97.1%
Wemmershoek 100%
In addition to servicing Cape Town, these dams supply water to the Overberg, Boland, West Coast, and Swartland areas, and provides irrigation water for agriculture.
