Travel and media company Big 7 Travel releases a list every year, comprised of the most ‘Instagrammable’ places, using a tally of the number of Instagram hashtags per destination, in addition to a survey of its users.
The 2022 edition is comprised of 50 destinations, with one from almost every continent, according to Business Insider.
Cape Town has been placed 22nd on the list, beating Phuket and Ibiza. Cape Town is also one of the only three African locations on that list. Marrakech, Morocco places 33rd and Masai Mara, Kenya places two spots later at 35th.
