Shinga, the newest member of Imire’s Anti-Poaching K9 Unit has arrived in Zimbabwe from the UK this week. Shinga is a Belgian Malinois who has gone through rigorous training at Dogs4Wildlife and has joined Murwi.
Imire: Rhino & Wildlife Conservation is located in Zimbabwe, and the organisation works to combat rhino poaching in the country.
‘Dogs4Wildlife Head Trainer, Darren, will be spending the next few weeks at Imire, introducing Shinga to Murwi and working closely with our elite ranger unit making sure her new handlers have the knowledge and skillset to operate her as efficiently and safely as possible,’ Imire said. ‘We also can’t wait for him to see how far Murwi has progressed!’
‘A huge thank you to @prodograw who have sponsored Shinga on her journey to Zimbabwe, and to Dogs4Wildlife and their amazing team for their continued support. We cannot thank you enough,’ Imire added.
Updates to follow!
