The carcass of a young whale believed to be a humpback, washed ashore in Salmon Bay in Port Edward on Tuesday 6 September.
While the cause of death is yet to be determined, this is the second whale to have washed ashore in the region this week, after a whale washed up in Richards Bay on Monday.
Municipal staff were on the scene to remove the carcass on Wednesday morning and take it to KwaDukuza landfill site. Watch the video below to see the removal
