The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 Warning for severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours and hail for the Highveld of Mpumalanga and in places over the eastern parts of Limpopo for 26 October.
Storms could lead to localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas and bridges. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and with headlights on.
In the Northern Cape, extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Dawid Kruiper, Kai! Garib, Siyancuma, Siyathemba, Kareeberg and Kamiesberg Local Municipalities.
