Easy Chicken Liver Recipe
This recipe serves four, but you can adjust it to suit fewer people.
Ingredients
- 500 g chicken livers cleaned and trimmed
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 3-4 tablespoons of peri-peri sauce
- 3 garlic cloves crushed
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Half-cup of cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley to serve
- Crusty bread to serve
Cooking Method
- Melt the butter in a hot skillet/frying pan and fry the chicken livers until golden brown on both sides.
- Allow the garlic and peri-peri sauce to cook for another minute, until fragrant, before adding the lemon juice and cream.
- Allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes after seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve alongside crusty bread.
