According to the Post Office Travel Money’s Worldwide Holiday Costs Barometer, Cape Town comes out tops this year as the world’s best-value holiday destination for Britons.
Second in the rankings is Marmaris in Turkey, and the third is Bulgaria’s Sunny Beach. Reykjavik in Iceland came out as the worst-value holiday destination for Britons
The barometer compared the price of 8 common tourist items in 40 different cities around the world to confirm where Britons would get the most value for their money.
According to the Daily Mail, included in the list of tourist items were a cup of coffee, a can of cola, a bottle of beer, sunscreen, and a three-course meal for two with a bottle of wine.
Cape Town was the clear winner, stretching the pound the most, and moving up from fourth place to first.
