The stage is set, and Suzuki is gearing up for the grandest jamboree of the year – the Suzuki Safari Town Festival and Jimny Gathering in the Free State Town of Clarens.
Suzuki Auto South Africa made waves last year when they announced their ambitious plan for the largest Suzuki Jimny gathering ever, scheduled for 22 to 24 September 2023. This event promises a thrilling experience for Jimny owners, enthusiasts, and the general public alike.
The Suzuki Safari Town Festival, hosted on 23 September at Clarens Town Square, will add to the excitement of the gathering. Unlike the exclusive Jimny Gathering, the Safari Town Festival opens its arms to all – Suzuki and non-Suzuki owners alike. With tickets ranging from R60 to R250 per person.
‘We have a jam-packed day of music, food and entertainment planned for the Suzuki Safari Town Festival,” says Henk van der Schyf, the event organiser.
‘The event will be headlined by Goodluck, Mango Groove and Spoegwolf, and we have many other artists on the roster, including Femi Koya and Black Heidi. The comedian, Schalk Bezuidenhout, is our host for the day, and we will stream the SA/Ireland rugby game at 9 pm to wrap up the festivities.’
The Suzuki Jimny Gathering has its sights set on drawing hundreds of Jimny, SJ, LJ, and Samurai owners from all corners of South Africa. With over 20,000 of these iconic vehicles across the country, it’s a celebration of the true Suzuki spirit.
Jimny owners can secure their spot by registering here, while music enthusiasts, foodies, and craft beer lovers can grab their tickets online to partake in the festivities.
The Suzuki Safari Town Festival and Jimny Gathering promise an unforgettable experience, uniting Suzuki enthusiasts and revellers from all walks of life in a joyous celebration of camaraderie and entertainment.
