The Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden is home to South Africa’s succulent plant diversity. In the 154-hectare garden, one finds different plants from arid and semi-arid regions of Southern Africa.

There are also hiking trails to enjoy, as well as lawns which make for a great picnic spot. As you traverse the Garden’s paths, you are likely to spot some fauna such as the Cape grysbok and various tortoise species.

Worcester Golf Club

Breede Valley Parkrun

The weekly Breede Valley Parkrun is where fitness and fun collide. The free community event takes place at Mountain Mill Mall, and you are welcome to walk, jog, sprint or simply spectate.

The parkrun’s route is a mixture of gravel paths, sand and road surface. What’s more, it offers stunning views of the nearby dam and mountains.

Monks Distillery

Monk’s Distillery

Monks Distillery is the country’s first off-grid gin distillery. It is located at the banks of the Breede River. When visiting the distillery, expect to be mesmerized by views of the surrounding mountains, vineyards and blueberry tunnels. The beautiful tasting room is also a great place to relax as you take in the whole experience.
