Your tripod can be a lifesaver when you’re travelling solo. Place it at a desired angle and make sure it is sturdy. Set the timer on your device and proceed to pose. Importantly, pay attention to your surroundings while shooting with a tripod. This will ensure your safety.

When at your hotel, a restaurant or any other attraction, you can also ask one of the staff members to capture images of you. Ask politely and make sure that you do not approach them when they are busy.

Tours provide great photo opportunities. Plus, most tour guides don’t mind taking pictures of tourist. In fact, some of them are really great at it since they do it so often. Moreover, being part of a tour also offers the opportunity to meet other solo travellers who can take images of you. After all, it is highly possible that they also need someone to take images of them as well.
