These new productions, featuring a cast of eight skilled singers and dancers, will be introduced simultaneously on both ships, marking a record for the cruise line. Each show will offer unique themes, and tributes to music legends such as Carole King, the Carpenters, Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac.
‘Holland America Line has never introduced this many shows at one time,’ stated Bill Prince, Vice President of Entertainment.
‘The Grand Voyages are our longest itineraries, and keeping the entertainment fresh for our returning guests is important. The new shows are a diverse collection of music genres to appeal to a wide variety of tastes.’
Cape Town Segments and Itineraries
The 2025 Grand World Voyage aboard Zuiderdam includes multiple segment options, two of which feature Cape Town as a departure or destination port. The itineraries are as follows:
- 42 days: Sydney to Cape Town, South Africa (February 11th – March 25th, 2025)
- 45 days: Cape Town to Fort Lauderdale (March 25th – May 9th, 2025)
Additional segments include:
- 37 days: Fort Lauderdale to Sydney, Australia (January 4th – February 11th, 2025)
- 55 days: Fort Lauderdale to Singapore (January 4th – March 1st, 2025)
- 49 days: Singapore to Athens, Greece (March 1st – April 19th, 2025)
- 20 days: Athens to Fort Lauderdale (April 19th – May 9th, 2025)
Grand Voyage Experience
In addition to the new shows, the Grand Voyages will feature a rich entertainment and enrichment program, including comedians, headline entertainers, and local performers. Holland America Line’s resident musicians, a classical trio, and a dance band will also perform on both ships.
Guest chefs specializing in regional cuisine will join select segments, offering live cooking demonstrations, “coffee chats,” and exclusive dinners at Pinnacle Grill. Guests can also participate in various activities such as dance classes, arts and crafts, pickleball lessons, and tai chi.
Dining experiences will be elevated with daily changing menus featuring local ingredients and regional cuisine. Themed parties, brunches, and gala dinners will enhance the festive atmosphere onboard.
Grand Voyage: Pole to Pole Segments
The Grand Voyage: Pole to Pole offers seven segments:
- 47 days: Fort Lauderdale to Buenos Aires, Argentina (January 25th – March 13th, 2025)
- 100 days: Fort Lauderdale to Ijmuiden (Amsterdam), Netherlands (January 25th – May 5th, 2025)
- 42 days: Buenos Aires to Barcelona (March 13th – April 24th, 2025)
- 53 days: Buenos Aires to Ijmuiden (March 13th – May 5th, 2025)
- 86 days: Buenos Aires to Fort Lauderdale (March 13th – June 7th, 2025)
- 44 days: Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale (April 24th – June 7th, 2025)
- 33 days: Ijmuiden to Fort Lauderdale (May 5th – June 7th, 2025)
Cruise Fares
Fares for the full 124-day Grand World Voyage start at ZAR 514,896, with segment fares beginning at ZAR 85,294. The full 133-day Grand Voyage: Pole to Pole starts at ZAR 587,428, with segment fares starting at ZAR 151,052. All fares are based on double occupancy rates and include port fees and taxes.
