Construction of the all-inclusive resort, named Club Med South Africa, is progressing well according to Olivier Perillat-Piratoine, Managing Director of Club Med South Africa.
The development includes a 345-room hotel, 66 luxury villas, a conference venue for 500 delegates, and a safari lodge located in a Big Five game reserve.
Tourism Update reports that the resort aims for a four-star Green Building Council of South Africa rating.
The resort will offer various amenities, including a bush experience and Club Med’s first surf school.
The project will boost local employment, with most workers sourced from nearby communities.
More details about the resort and guest experiences are expected as the opening date is set for 2026.
