With 14 categories, the competition ensures fairness across all photography disciplines and camera types. Categories include Wide Angle, Macro, Marine Life Behavior, and three compact camera categories, giving photographers of all levels a chance to win. Unique categories like Black & White, Marine Life Portrait, and Underwater Conservation celebrate diverse aspects of underwater photography, while Underwater Fashion and Underwater Digital Art allow complete post-processing freedom.
This year’s top prizes feature luxury dive trips and high-end photography gear. Grand prizes include a 7-night dive package in Roatan, a 10-night liveaboard trip in Papua New Guinea, an 8-day diving adventure in Raja Ampat, and premium travel experiences in Indonesia, the Galapagos, the Caribbean, and more. Major equipment prizes include underwater strobes, accessories, and gift certificates from leading manufacturers and retailers.
New to the judging panel is Malaysian underwater photographer Ipah Uid Lynn, who joins Emmy winner Marty Snyderman, world-renowned photographers Tony Wu, and Mark Strickland, who are returning for this year’s event. Nirupam Nigam of Bluewater Photo and Bluewater Travel manages the competition.
