A conservation organisation, African Rivers, has since denounced the government’s plan and states that this method will not yield the results this body hopes to achieve.
According to Pune News, the Chief Executive (Bobson Sikaala) said this implantation would have a negative impact, such as damaging the ecological balance.
African Rivers has partnered with various organisations and authoritative bodies and has innovative plans for an alternative option that could reportedly save 95% of the elephants being culled. This project would protect not only elephants but also individuals in need.
