The service is scheduled to commence on March 28, 2024, offering three weekly flights operated by the 98-seat Embraer E190 aircraft.

Rodger Foster, Airlink’s CEO and Managing Director emphasized the importance of this addition, noting that the DRC market is a key part of the airline’s growth strategy. He remarked, “After establishing our presence in 2020 with flights to Lubumbashi, we are ready to enhance our offerings by including Kinshasa in our regional network.”

This new service will increase connectivity options for travellers, with departures from Johannesburg scheduled on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 20:30, arriving in Kinshasa at 23:40. The return flights will leave Kinshasa at 00:25 on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, reaching Johannesburg by 05:30.

Passengers can select between business-class and economy-class cabins, providing ample baggage allowances and complimentary meals. The route aims to facilitate smooth connections with Airlink’s extensive network in Southern Africa and international flights through its global airline partnerships.
