Leopard’s struggles to haul impala results in an epic tree storage method

While hunting might be in wild cats’ DNA, finding an effective way to eat their prey far away from scavengers could be challenging.

Latest Sightings has reported how Vincent Adami, an avid nature lover, has captured a unique moment in the Kruger in regards to capturing animals while they’re quite vulnerable (and perhaps a bit embarrassed). With his expertise and patience, he managed to capture a young leopard with a freshly caught impala.

The video depicts the leopard victoriously carting his kill to a tree to feast upon but seems to have difficulties getting his large trophy to safety. After several failed attempts with hope almost lost, the impala carcass got caught on a lower branch of the tree and dangled before the leopard.

The leopard finally had to give up on his conquest and ate his prey while it was hooked on the tree. Luckily for the juvenile leopard, no fellow big cats and scavengers came to feast on the perfectly propped-up prey, and he was free to eat in peace. Hopefully, he will learn from his mistakes and lug his prey up the tree with ease in the future.
