South African Airways (SAA) has further strengthened its trade trade ties and expanded its footprint within the continent through launching flights from Johannesburg to Lubumbashi.
As reported by Travel News, the inaugural direct flight took off from OR Tambo International Airport and landed at Luano International Airport on the 4th of November.
The duration of the flight, which took off at 10:50, was a little over three hours.

Flights are set to operate daily from Monday to Friday. The schedule is as follows:
Flight SA50 will leave Johannesburg at 10:50 to arrive in Lubumbashi at 13:20.
Flight AA51 will then depart Lubumbashi at 14:10 and will land in Johannesburg at 17:50.
According to a report by IOL, direct flights of this nature play a vital role in nurturing the trade relationship between two countries.
The launch of these direct flights comes after reports of the airline’s steady growth earlier this year.
