On the 8th of November, the Border Management Authority had reopened the border only partially after finalizing the necessary safety measures and protocols.
A possible resurgence of violence is expected as there are reports of possible protests between 13th and 15th of November. Should such protests take place, the BMA intends to divert travellers to an alternative border post which is 50 km from Lebombo.
