A brave, blind leopard joins a bask of crocodiles for a feast

Early in South Luangwa, a group of hungry and vicious crocodiles were seen circling a newly killed carcass to commence an early morning feast. However, Stefan Cruysberghs captured an unexpected addition to this predator party and reported it to Latest Sightings.

A blind leopard has found his way in the midst of a bask of crocodiles, but his bravery did not stop there. The leopard was spotted gnawing and trying to pry the prized prey from the crocodile’s mouth

A fearless display from a seemingly vision-impaired leopard shows the absolute determination and authority these big cats have when it comes to sourcing food. Cruysberghs theorised that the prey in question was possibly killed by the leopard and was abandoned, and when he returned to feast on his kill, he found the crocodiles snacking away on his food.

He skillfully avoided the grumpy snaps from the crocodiles and proceeded to snack on the carcass while joining the circle of reptiles. Clearly, there was not enough meat to go around, and the leopard even pawed a nearby crocodile in frustration. These crocodiles seemed quite unfazed by the leopard in question and proceeded to rip apart and eat the prey without paying too much attention to the big cat.

A hippo also made his way to the feast, which caused the blinded leopard to snag a few pieces of meat and walk away from the feeding frenzy. Witnessing carnivores from a kaleidoscope of species dine together was an incredible sight.
