A nail-biting occurrence between a young leopard and a gosling occurred in the Greater Kruger area. A ranger, Benji Solms, captured the epic moment on a game drive in Serondella Safari Lodge and sent the footage to Latest Sightings.

A gaggle of goslings were in clear range of the young leopard but soon realised the dangers nearby and evaded an attack by making their way to nearby shrubbery. One curious gosling, however, became separated from the group and made his way to the leopard.
The gosling soon realised this grave error and tried to run away from the predator, but the young leopard was quick on his feet and went after the gosling. The young duck strategically tried to lie down on the dirt and play dead, but the leopard picked up his body and carried him away.
Interestingly, the young leopard was very gentle with the duckling and seemed to nibble on the body gently. At this moment, it seemed all hope was lost and that the still and seemingly lifeless body of the gosling was set to be the leopard’s lunch
When the leopard seemed to have a moment of boredom, the ducking quickly sprang to life and ran away from the hungry jaws of the predator! All the leopard could do at that moment was watch the duckling run in disbelief while onlookers laughed at this unique and memorable encounter.
