1. Magwa Falls, near Lusikisiki, Eastern Cape

Tucked away in the Eastern Cape’s lush Magwa Tea Plantation, Magwa Falls is a hidden gem. This 142-meter-high waterfall plunges dramatically into a gorge, surrounded by vibrant green cliffs. The best time to visit is after rainfall when the falls are at their fullest – a beautiful sight.

2. Bridal Veil Falls, near Sabie, Mpumalanga

This charming waterfall, located in the heart of Mpumalanga’s Panorama Route, cascades in a fine mist, resembling a bride’s veil. The ‘moderately challenging’ route takes you through indigenous forest for about three hours before you reach base, where serene views of the falls and the surrounding nature reward you.
