Reachable by trail, the dune field spans approximately 15,800 hectares, stretching 60 km in length and reaching up to 5 km in width. Its tallest dune rises 140 meters. This ever-changing system is shaped by constant sand movement, with around 375,000 cubic tons of sand deposited annually, gradually shifting and building up inland.
