70 kilometers from from home and it all sinks in while lying in your tent.
You are already on the adventure of a lifetime. All the hype and anxiety and sad goodbyes have passed but the memory of the mornings events start to spin through your mind. Through all the excitement we did not realise how many people were at the Pedal2Peak Charity Cycle Tour send off. Marc and I sat gob smacked as we heard the amounts raised for the NSRI from just the send off. So many thanks have to go out to the whole community of St Francis Bay who clubbed together to make the send off breakfast a great success. A day that will be deeply engraved in both our lives and remembered forever.
So now that we are safely in Patensie we look forward to start climbing over the Grootwinterhoek Mountains into the Little Karoo tomorrow.
Now that we rolling we must keep the momentum going!
