Unsure what to pack for your fun time in the sun? Take a look at a few essential items and products to pack to ensure you have a comfortable and safe time outdoors.
Sun protection
A sunburn can quickly put a damper on a summer vacation, so sunscreen is an essential item to pack on your beach outing. While you might be tempted to slather on sunscreen and leave it at that, you’ll need to apply this product throughout the day to ensure you don’t burn.
As some spaces are simply impossible to apply sunscreen on, such as your scalp, other items can also help to prevent damage from the sun’s harmful rays. Be sure to pack in a sun hat and UV protection sunglasses.
Beach blanket/towel
While it might be an obvious one, packing a beach blanket or towel is vital to ensure your comfort. Whether you’re looking to dry off after a swim or looking for a soft spot to rest in the sun, this is definitely an item not to forget.
Waterproof bag
A waterproof bag is an excellent safety measure to ensure your items are not damaged by any untimely waves hitting the beach. A water-resistant carrier is also great if you’re not planning to go home straight after the beach, so you can put your wet swimsuit in your bag.

Hydration is key when you’re planning to spend the day in the sun. An insulated water bottle will keep your water cool and ensure you keep drinking water throughout the day. Have a few easy-snacking nibbles, such as dried fruit and nuts, to keep your hunger pangs at bay if you’re looking to spend the entire day by the sea.
