Having explored the continent of Africa, Sihle Khumalo decided to road-trip around his own country. He returns to Zululand, where he grew up, and at King Cetshwayo’s grave encounters a real-life royal.
About the author
Sihle Khumalo has the nomadic gene and loves nothing more than travelling – on shoestring budgets and using only public transport. His first big adventure was a journey from Cape Town to Cairo, documented in his witty, irreverent style in Dark Continent My Black Arse (2007), his first book. Two more followed: Heart of Africa (2009), in which he explores the Great Lakes area, and Almost Sleeping My Way to Timbuktu (2013), detailing his visit to West Africa. Rainbow Nation My Zulu Arse, his latest, is the next in the series, except that this time he drives his own car around his own country.
We have three copies of Rainbow Nation My Zulu Arse to give away.
