Gerhild Cuje-Jakoby, the manager of White Lion Lodge points out some things you should know when planning your next bush getaway in the Klein Karoo. The lodge offers four individual stilted suites, each has a spacious bedroom, dressing room, full bathroom and an outdoor shower. Each room also has exquisite panoramic views of the bush.
On safari within the Wildlife Reserve, you’ll be guided by your own private field guide in an open game viewing vehicle. You’ll be taught about the flora and fauna of the Klein Karoo. Pack cool, comfortable and light coloured clothes so that the insects and animals don’t spot you as easily. Sunscreen and mosquito repellent is also a must and a warm jacket for the evening game drives is important.
On the day of arrival, lunch is served between 1 pm and 2 pm and your suite will be ready at 2 pm. Check out on the last day is at 10:30 am after breakfast.
