Secluded luxury in northern Kruger
In one of the most scenic areas in Kruger National Park, The Outpost offers you access to a remote and majestic terrain that incorporates 80% of Kruger’s biodiversity. The Outpost delivers a panoramic perspective of the Luvuvhu River from contemporary suites cantilevered against the side of a high hill.
Remote-controlled screens open to provide uninterrupted views across the valley. Just 24 guests are accommodated in these 12 open-plan luxury spaces, which give a sensation of floating high above a lush, majestic wilderness. The private, free standing suites are connected to the central lodge area by 500m of Zimbabwean teak walkway.
This northerly section of Kruger is known for its large herds of buffalo, elephant and nyala, not often seen in other areas. It is a birding hotspot, too, with more than 350 recorded bird species – and it’s a favoured habitat of the Pel’s fishing owl. The beautiful and diverse vegetation of the region includes mopane woodlands, fever tree forests and some of the largest and oldest of Kruger’s baobabs.
