Located in Eastern Zambia at the end of the Great Rift Valley, South Luangwa National Park was established in 1972. A wealth of game grazes peacefully on the banks of the languid Luangwa River as it traverses the Park, one of the four most significant rivers in Zambia.
Famous for sightings of elusive leopards along with other big predators, South Luangwa remains one of the country’s main attractions. In addition to experiencing Africa’s wildlife first-hand, the Mfuwe area boasts gorgeous safari camps and an abundance of locally produced, world-class crafts and souvenirs and you can stand a chance to win an all-inclusive safari trip to this magical region.
Getaway has partnered with non-profit tourism company Africa’s Eden, local airline Proflight Zambia and two safari lodges in the heart of Luangwa to put together this dream experience.
