Move over Santa Claus, there’s another Christmas legend to look forward to!
The Galileo Open Air Cinema is back for another fun and festive outdoor movie screening on December 25. Moving to the northern suburbs this year and taking place at the magnificent Meerendal Wine Estate, it promises to be a dazzling evening under the stars.
After tucking into your second (or third) helping of Christmas lunch and waking from your food coma, gather family and friends for the nostalgic holiday classic, ‘Home Alone’. The light-hearted hit film, suitable for all ages, follows the story of eight-year-old troublemaker, Kevin McCallister, who is accidentally left at home during a vacation and must protect his home from two foolish burglars.
Doors open at 5pm onto a spectacular themed setting with gifts of candy canes and Santa hats for all. Before the movie begins, try your hand at one of the giant lawn games to ignite some sibling rivalry, grab a spirit-enhancing beverage and yummy movie snacks from the mini-market on location – everyone knows calories don’t count on Christmas anyway!
Make an outdoor movie screening your new holiday tradition and book your tickets at www.thegalileo.co.za. Space is limited, so pre-booking is essential.
