Many travelers passing through this part of the Western Cape have made stopping at Roosterkoekhoek for a delicious treat a cherished custom.

Aloe Restaurant serves both locals and travelers along the N2 with high-quality food and drinks. Daily specials and Sunday meals are particularly popular, attracting both local patrons and visitors from neighboring towns.

3. ALOE DELI  1 & 2

In 2004, Wimpie and Hettie launched Aloe Deli to enhance their business and provide greater convenience closer to the N2 for customers from nearby areas. Thanks to dedicated staff and loyal customers, Aloe Deli has thrived. In 2021, they introduced a new restroom facility and two additional shops. Consequently, the Deli moved into one of these new spaces, and by July 2022, they opened a second Aloe Deli in the remaining shop.

“Deli 1” focuses on red meats, including biltong, droëwors, and the renowned Albertinia boerewors, among other cuts. Meanwhile, “Deli 2” offers a range of delightful products such as dried fruit, nuts, health products, gift packs, biscuits, preserves, candies, and more.
