The festive season is upon us and the tooth fairy is nowhere to be seen which means everyone’s sweet tooth will be out to play.
Preparing festive treats can be a daunting task, especially for the culinary amateur trying to impress guests on Christmas.
But worry not because we’ve found delicious ingredients to prepare for you and your loved ones, and a recipe that does not require the usual suspects: eggs, flour or even opening your oven. This will surely blow their minds away.
Ingredients :
- 350g of biscuits.
- 2 tbsp of powdered sugar (15g).
- 4 tbsp of cocoa powder (30g).
- 1/4 cup of melted butter (80g).
- 3/4 cup of milk (160ml), you may need up to 200ml depending on the biscuits you’ll be using.
- 140g of milk chocolate. some chocolate sprinkles.
Preparation:
- Place your biscuits into a blender and blend them until finely crushed
- Pour the crushed biscuits into a bowl
- Add the 2 tbsp of powdered sugar into the bowl with crushed biscuits
- Add the 4 tbsp of cocoa powder into the bowl with crushed biscuits and powdered sugar
- Mix the ingredients together until they’re fully immersed
- Add 1/4 cup of melted butter to the mixture and stir until the mixture is fully combined
- Gradually add milk to the mixture and use your hands to crush the lumps into place
- The mixture must start feeling like wet beach sand but depending on the biscuits you used more milk might be needed
- Your mixture should now start turning into a slime-like texture that can be manoeuvred in the palm of your hand
- Place a sheet of parchment paper on the kitchen counter and place your slime cookie mixture onto the paper
- Form the slime mixture into a long sausage-like structure before covering it with parchment paper by rolling it
- Place the parchment paper-covered mixture into the fridge and chill for 2-3 hours
- After the set time, remove the mixture from the fridge and parchment paper and proceed to cut it into desired serving sizes
- Add the 140g of chocolate into a bowl and break smaller pieces
- Dip your biscuit mixture halfway into the melted chocolate bowl
- Add chocolate sprinkles on top of the dipped chocolate and wait for the melted chocolate to solidify
- Once dried up, you can serve your loved ones and pretend to be the maestro chef that you and I both know still doesn’t exist 😀
