Tokara, the acclaimed family wine and olive estate, has earned its place as a sought-after, all-encompassing Stellenbosch destination with a listing in the prestigious World’s Best Vineyards Top 50 2022.
Tokara ranked 47th and is one of three South African wine farms to make the Top 50 list this year. It shares the distinction with Creation (38th) and Klein Constantia (39th). Italy tops the 2022 list with Antinori nel Chianti Classico in Tuscany.

This is the fourth year of the World’s Best Vineyards, the sister competition to the renowned World’s Best Restaurants. The Top 50 list was announced in Mendoza, Argentina’s wine capital. The list is compiled from nominations by a global academy of voters, comprising 600 leading wine aficionados, sommeliers, and international wine and travel writers worldwide. The members nominate their seven favourite wine farms in preferential order. The 2022 list includes vineyards from 20 countries around the world.
