As long as we’re all under lockdown, no one is travelling anywhere. But it never hurts to dream! Looking back at your favourite travel photos of faraway places, much-loved family holiday spots or exotic islands is one way to combat the lockdown blues.
We must stay positive and never lose our love for travel, our wanderlust, our absolute adoration of this beautiful world we call home and everything it has to offer.
Several other travellers had the same idea, and another initiative called #WhenWeTravelAgain has people in Ireland sharing their dream destinations and post-coronavirus travel plans:
I’d like to share a photo a day, to distract us and dream of when we travel again. I’ll start with a surfer at Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal. Share your photos with me (taken anywhere, anytime) using #WhenWeTravelAgain, and I’ll post one at 8pm daily until we can explore again. 📸 pic.twitter.com/sesmd5HtY0

While we wait it out, we can always go on a virtual trip and share our experiences with each other. Let’s Getaway together!
So we want to know… Where have you been? Where will you go to next? What is your dream destination and where is the one place you can’t help but return to year after year?
Send us your favourite travel pictures in the Facebook comments, using the hashtag #LetsGetaway or post them on Instagram with the same hashtag for a chance to be featured on our Instagram story.
