The Greater Mabula Game Reserve launches Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp’s new look.
The Greater Mabula Game Reserve’s smallest and most intimate tented camp reopens this week with a fresh new look that enhances its private location within this reserve in the Waterberg.
Five tents have been luxuriously refashioned, each raised on a platform with its own private deck and incredible views of the surrounding savannah. Kwafubesi is delightfully small and ideal for couples and small groups. It allows for a fully immersive experience in the African bush, while only being a two-hour drive from Johannesburg.
A new waterhole has been strategically placed between the expansive plains and the lodge’s dining and lounge area. The blockbuster views of wildlife and birdlife will keep guests entranced when they aren’t exploring the reserve with their dedicated field guide.
Guests can enjoy the grazing wildlife with a drink in hand or cool down in the pool while watching the African grey hornbills hop around the camp.
Natural fabrics and earthy shades define the design of the lodge, blending beautifully with the tones of the bush. The dedicated team at Kwafubesi takes extra care to provide the perfect environment for guests to enjoy their own personal bushveld escape.

The new safari tents are well spaced out, large and comfortable, with queen-size beds and fully appointed bathrooms and outdoor showers. Their private timber decks allow guests to enjoy their surroundings in complete comfort and privacy.
